Clouds will also predominate on Tuesday and the sun will only appear occasionally. A cold front will pass through in the following night and on Wednesday morning, bringing widespread precipitation with a snow line of 800-1000 m. The weather will improve as the day progresses with sunny spells. Thursday will begin sunny and cold, during the day we expect more and more clouds and new precipitation will follow during nighttime. Friday is likely to start off cloudy with some snowfall. During the day, the precipitation will ease and northerly foehn winds will temporarily break up the clouds.

Weather in the mountains

Once again, a high will bring sunny weather.
Conditions on the mountains are very good. The sun shines all day long with only a few high-lying clouds in the afternoon. At night near the border to Austria we expect some light snowfall.

Mountain weather tomorrow

A strong westerly flow will bring humid Atlantic air to Central Europe. South Tyrol remains weather-favoured in the lee of the Alps.
In the morning, the snowfall on the main Alpine ridge will subside quickly. During the day, the clouds will clear up a little and the sun will make an appearance from time to time.
